 General Info - International Shipping

All orders are shipped from Australia. It is very important to be aware that depending on the destination country's customs procedure, an import duty fee might apply. Many countries have a customs free threshold. If the parcel value is below a certain value ($1000 for Australia), no import duty is charged. Additionally the import duty depends on the type of items shipped. Most of our products are classed as "Electronic Components", and are duty free in most countries. This means customers will not have to pay any customs duty for most items bought from us.

Of our current available shipping options, only TNT provides a Door-To-Door service. This is very important for customers in countries with complex customs procedures (Europe, South America). TNT will do all customs paper work for you, and deliver the parcel to your door. If any customs fee has to be paid, they will contact you prior to delivery. For all other shipping methods, your order might be held at customs, and you will have to arrange for any customs clearance that has to be done. We highly recommend customers in Europe, South America and other countries with complex customs procedures to use TNT as their shipping method.


 TNT International Courier, Door-to-Door service
TNT International Courier. This is a Door-to-door service, meaning all customs clearance is taken care of by TNT. Orders can also be tracked online. International orders are normally delivered within 2-3 days. When selecting this shipping method, be sure to supply us with your telephone number. As an example, for 4 x SBC65EC boards, and 4 x PT01TC-ASM boards the shipping rate (2011) is:
- $28 to UK
- $29 to USA or Germany

 EMS International Courier
Australian Post EMS International Courier. EMS International Courier is Australia Post's premium international express service. The EMS service uses DHL under contract for most destinations. Items can be tracked via internet. You will receive a tracking number from us after your order has been shipped. Most items take between 3-5 days to deliver. Typical costs to international destinations for a small parcel (a couple of SBC boards for example) are between US$30.00 and US$48.00.

Please note this is NOT a Door-to-Door shipping method! Your parcel might be held by customs, in which case they will contact you to pay any required fees. Use a Door-to-Door shipping method (like TNT) to avoid customs delays.


 International Air Mail
Australian Post International Parcel Post Air Mail. Most parcels sent via air mail take between 1 and 2 weeks. There is NO tracking available for this shipping method! As an example, for 2 x SBC65EC boards, and 2 x PT01TC-ASM boards the shipping rate (2011) is:
- $11 to USA
- $12 to Europe

 Insured International Air Mail
Insured Australian Post International Parcel Post Air Mail. Most parcels sent via air mail take between 1 and 2 weeks. Insurance costs A$5.00 plus A$2.00 per A$100 value, or part thereof. There is NO tracking available for this shipping method!

 Customer Arranges Pick-Up
The customer can arrange his/her own pick-up. Select this method if you want to arrange pick-up of the order. For example if you want to arrange the order to be picked up via a courier like DHL, Fed-Ex or any other. When selecting this method you will only be charged a small handling fee.
